Panni Poh Yoke Loh

Born in London, at age 7, she commenced an 11 year art school scholarship. She qualified in Social Work and Teaching with a B.A. Applied Social Studies and BSc in Textile Design. She attained an M.A. in Art as Environment (2003) and went on to follow an art practice-based doctorate programme at Manchester Metropolitan University. She has been an INWAC member and exhibiting internationally since 1999 with European and Asian university publications.

She works with spirit, culture and location and is concerned with human relationships and the natural world and co-empowerment using paintings, photography and live art. Her work is in public collections such as the London Irish Embassy.

She was awarded: the ¡®Athena Honouree¡¯ leadership award (2008); ¡®Lord Mayor of Sheffield-Woman of inspiration entertainment and the arts¡¯ (2007); UK Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale artist (2006) and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister ¡®Community Cohesion award¡¯ (2004).
